About Me.
Hello! My name is Marina and I am a trained pianist and singer. I obtained my Grade 8 Piano (ABRSM) as a teenager and continued my training at the Guildford School of Acting on the (BA) Actor-Musician Course. There, I furthered my instrumental training with Piano as my main instrument, alongside Guitar and Drums. Since graduating, I have worked as a Singer, Pianist, Actor but most importantly - a Teacher! I specialise in Early Years Music, having taught baby & toddler music classes for over 5 years. I have also led my own nursery music sessions, as well as teaching regular private piano and singing lessons. I am so passionate about teaching and find nothing more rewarding than seeing a child progress and their spark for creativity ignited.
Why us?
I am incredibly committed to making music lessons fun for children as small as 3+. This means growing their interest organically, with gentle structure alongside child-led exploration.
From 6+ our lessons start to take more formal structure, still with a focus on engagement, exploration and joy.
Being classically trained myself, students will begin to learn how to read music and have an understanding of music theory, alongside performance and aural skills.
However, this will materialise as an invaluable and useful byproduct of joyous time around the piano.
